The Theater for Children and Youth, Skopje is founded and financed by the Ministry of Culture of R. Macedonia in 1990.

Three types of shows are performed in the theater: puppet, children, youth.
Children dramaturgy of domestic author: as well as authors of the world classics is nurtuned.The theater presents 3 premieres per year and performs about 220 shows on its stage, in the country and abroad.

The theater is one of the founders of the Balkan Puppet Festival that moves every year to the different country, and was organizor of the "IV Balkan Puppet Festival - Skopje '96".
