Another well- known Hans Christian Andersen classic. The sad story of the little girl, freezing out in the cold, trying to sell some matches, to get some money to feed herself and her father was retold by the master of puppet theatre, Bonyo Lungov, who turned this sorrowful tale into a journey full of humor and witty remarks. The accent is on presenting a main character with a heart filled with kindness, a pure-hearted forgotten little girl in a world that has no regard towards children’s needs. Yet there should be no fear of making a child utterly sad during the course of this performance. The imaginative approach to the stage and costume design as well as the music makes for a well- rounded theatre experience for both children and adults.
